Do you know what the life of your dreams looks like?

And, do you have clarity around what you need to do to become a better man?

Currently, we are all living a version of ourselves that during some point in our lives we envisioned was our destiny. Are you living the life that you truly had envisioned for yourself? Did you see something else, but thought it was impossible? Did you get stuck in a negative feedback loop from hell that manifested a life of despair?

The time to begin aligning your thoughts, actions and beliefs with your clear vision for the future is now.

You can begin today by attracting the life you have always dreamed of with the power of a vision board. This is one of many tools that can be used to create more clarity around the man you want to become, and what your goals will look like once they are a reality.

Wherever you are in life, now is your time to begin moving closer to your dreams, goals, and the vision you have of your ideal state of being. Your vision board will soon become one of the most powerful tools in activating the energy necessary to move you closer to the life you truly desire to live. One full of happiness, financial abundance, and balance in the key areas of your life that truly matter.

When was the last time you asked yourself…

Is the life I am living the one I have always imagined?

A vision board is the first step to taking the goals you set and truly clarifying them, making them so real that failure is not an option. Your board will help you begin a daily visualization exercise that engrains your goals in your subconscious mind making it natural to begin taking actions toward the direction of your dreams.

This might sound wuwu to you, I know. But trust me, this really works. Give this a try, you might just amaze yourself with the result.

What is a vision board?

Vision boards are a visual representation of your goals, desires, and the life you wish to live. They are images, pictures, words, quotes, affirmations, and goals that provide you with a snapshot of your future.

A vision board is one of the most powerful tools for attracting what you most desire into your life. It is literally a snapshot of life's coming attractions. This amazing tool can be used by anyone, for anything, at any stage of life. Whether you are struggling or, thriving in business, supporting a family, partway through your educational career, or at some other stage in life, this powerful tool can help you literally change your destiny.

Your vision board will become a tool to help clarify and concentrate on what truly matters in all areas of your life, or specific areas of your life. It will help you turn your goals into clear vivid images, quotes, and words that pack a true sense of what life will be like when you become the man you want to be. A vision board is a tool to activate the law of attraction, which simply states that what you focus on, and act upon, you attract more of into your life.

Do vision boards really work, or are they just a waste of my time?

Vision boards work. They really do. Once created and aligned with your goals you will suddenly begin to experience shifts in your life. Doors will begin to open to new opportunities that you never knew were waiting for you all along.

The visual stimulation experienced as a result of looking at your board on a daily basis will strengthen your emotional connection to achieving your goals and as a result, start showing you how you will come to accomplish your grandest desires. A picture truly is worth a thousand words.

A Short Story About The Power of A Vision Board | They Really Work!

Years ago, Scott, one of the Peak Prosper founders, was at a stagnant stage of his life and he knew he was not living the life he always imagined. So, he started reading books, creating new habits, setting goals, and along came the concept of a vision board. His first vision board became a collection of words, goals, experiences, and things he wished to acquire in his life. He wished to cultivate a life that included:

  • Spirituality
  • Happiness
  • A New Mountain Bike
  • A Life Built on Values: Health, Love, Contribution, Adventure, Accomplishment
  • A Ski Trip to Japan
  • And, much more…

For a long time, the board represented a life that was beyond his grasp, it was something that he could not figure out how to live. His goals seemed too grand. His vision, while more clear than ever before seemed to be just outside of reach.

Then something started to happen…

Slowly, people and opportunities started showing up in his life that aligned with his vision. The law of attraction had been activated and with each heartbeat, his emotional connection to his vision grew stronger. Days, weeks, months, and even years went by.

Scott got a promotion at work. He saved up enough money from his small consulting practice (outside of a full-time corporate job) to purchase a very nice full-suspension mountain bike, a snowmobile, international ski trips and so much more. He climbed out of over $35,000 of debt and started to inspire others on their journey toward financial freedom. He even purchased a motorcycle now called “Serendipity”, the exact same Kawasaki 650 KLR that he put on his board years ago.

Today, his life as an entrepreneur, adventure athlete, writer, and photographer is beyond what he could have ever imagined.

Or, is it?

Below is an image of Scott’s first vision board. At the time of creating it, his life was not what you see on the board. He was in a financial deficit of over $35,000, had a real problem with drinking, his relationships were struggling, his life was broken. He knew there was a better way to live. His vision board was one of the numbers to the combination of the lock to the door that opened to the life he had always imagined.

What can I use a vision board for?

Remember, no matter who you are, what stage of life you are in or what you are experiencing, a vision board can be the catalyst to living the life you have always imagined, building the business of your dreams, finding a career that truly aligns with your passions, and so much more.

Whether your goals are centered around career, family, health, travel, material purchases, spiritual growth, or something else, your vision board will help you gain the momentum to start taking action towards what you most desire to experience.

Is it financial prosperity, a new lifestyle, career change, new business you wish to start, better health, a new bike, an epic hike across the country or a mountain you have always dreamt of climbing? Maybe the life you desire to live is all of these things. It certainly is for me.

The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.

How Do I Create a Vision Board?

Key elements for creating a powerful vision board:

  • Visuals: Images, pictures, symbols that align with your goals and the vision of you in your ideal state of Being.
  • Power Words: These might change over time, but they carry with them the true meaning about who you are at the core. They might be your values or words that inspire you. Example words: Health, Love, Happiness, Prosperity, Inspiring, Community, Adventure, Travel
  • Quotes: Your favorite quotes or sayings that inspire you to be the best and most energized you.
  • Affirmations: A statement that is framed as already being true about you, regardless of your present circumstances. For example “I am worthy of my dreams”. “I am vibrantly healthy and thriving inside my beautiful body.”

To begin, find pictures that symbolize the experiences, things, and feelings you want to attract into your life. You can find these assets in magazines, pamphlets or online. Begin cutting them out or printing them. Organize your words and images neatly on a board that is big enough to fit your needs, 3 feet by 2 feet is pretty standard.

Once your board is complete put it in a place that you can easily view it in the morning upon awakening and at night before you fall asleep. If you built a vision board for your business then consider placing it in your office where you can look at it throughout the day and use it as a source of inspiration to keep you going.

Like all new things in life, the most challenging part of creating your vision board is simply starting. Take your first step right after finishing this article and go find a magazine that inspires you, within that magazine cut out one image that represents a goal, feeling, or something you wish to attract more of into your life.

Create a Daily Routine of Visualization

After clearly defining your goals and creating a vision board to support them, we suggest you implement a daily routine for reviewing your goals and visualizing what life is like having already attained your grandest desires.

This simple exercise helps to program your subconscious mind to continue working on your goals even when you are at rest or working on other activities and it only takes 10 minutes.

  • Sit calmly in front of your vision board for 2-3 minutes. Let your board inspire you.
  • Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes and visualize yourself living the life you have always imagined or achieved the goals you wish to aim for in the months to come. Paint pictures in your mind.
  • Read your goals out loud to yourself.
  • Write down 2-3 things you are grateful for you in your life that already support your vision. These could be as simple as breathing or the time you took to invest in this visualization exercise.

Visualization is the key to the locked door of our dreams.
